Apple donates to Beirut relief efforts following massive explosions

Apple CEO Tim Cook has tweeted that the tech giant is donating to relief organizations that are helping with immediate needs and long-term support in Beirut following a devastating explosion.

“We grieve with the people of Lebanon, our employees and all those affected by the tragedy,” he said.

On Tuesday a massive explosion in Beirut killed at least 149 people and wounded another 5,000 or more. The massive explosion was so powerful it left a smoking crater stretching more than 700 feet and registered as a 3.3-magnitude earthquake, according to CBS News.
