Apple Daily Report: you can replace the battery in the new MacBook Air (and more news)

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, at the end of each week day, we’ll offer this wrap-up of news items you should check out.

The battery can be individually replaced in the new MacBook Air, according to Apple’s internal Service Readiness Guide for the laptop, notes MacRumors



Seven of top 10 smartphone markets declined in quarter three of 2018. Huawei took second place ahead of Apple, shipping 52 million units after growing 33% year on year, according to Canalys. Apple grew by just 0.4%, shipping 47 million units, adds the research group.

Apple is not in talks “at any level” to settle its wide-ranging legal dispute with mobile chip maker Qualcomm, according to Reuters. quoting an unnamed “source familiar with the matter.” 

GigSky says new dual-SIM iPhones will be enabled to use GigSky data. cellular data service will be available to use on all the new Apple smartphones this fall.
