Apple announces Apple Music/Apple TV+ student bundle

Well, I didn’t see that coming: Apple has announced its first bundle deal for Apple TV+. For subscribers to Apple Music on the student plan ($4.99 per month) Apple will giveaway Apple TV+ at no additional charge.

As noted by 9to5 Mac, the news was announced on Hailee Steinfeld’s Instagram page, who stars in Apple’s Dickinson series. As the student subscription only covers a single person, it is possible the free Apple TV+ doesn’t  support Family Sharing. Still, the student bundle is a great deal.

Apple TV+ launches this Friday, Nov. 1. It costs $4.99 per month, though you can get a year’s subscription free with the purchase of a new Mac, iPhone, iPad, or an Apple TV set-top box.

Also, in an interview with Variety, Apple’s heads of worldwide video programming, Zac van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, says we can expect at lease one new TV show or movie every month this year. And the total number of originals will be even higher in 2020, they add.
