Analyst: iPad Air 3 won’t come with 3D Touch

In a note to clients —as noted by MacRumors.com — KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the iPad Air 3 will debut in the first half of 2016 (but without 3D Touch) and that the iPhone 7 will arrive in the September timeframe.

He thinks the iPad Air 3 could be unveiled at an Apple event in March, alongside a 4-inch iPhone and the second generation Apple Watch. (Some pundits also claim we’ll see an Apple TV update around that time period.)

Kuo says the iPad Air 3 likely wont have 3D Touch due to production issues in  Apple’s supply chain. 3D Touch senses force to enable intuitive new ways to access features and interact with content.
