Adepero Oduye joins cast of Apple TV+’s ‘Five Days at Memorial’

Adepero Oduye (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) has joined Vera Farmiga in Five Days at Memorial, a drama about how the aftermath of the deadly 2005 hurricane played out at a New Orleans hospital, notes The Hollywood Reporter. She’ll play Karen Wynn, nurse manager of the intensive care unit at Memorial Hospital and the head of the its ethics committee.

Based on the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sheri Fink, the limited series chronicles the first five days in a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina made landfall. When the floodwaters rose, the power failed and the heat climbed, exhausted caregivers were forced to make life-and-death decisions that haunted them for years to come. Fink will serve as a producer on the project.
