Addigy Partner Summit: Mario Cruz looks at ‘The Future of Computing’

At this week’s Addigy 2019 Partner Summit, technologist and entrepreneur Mario Cruz gave a talk on “The Future of Computing: Which Buzz Word Materializes.”

“Technology will change more in the next 20 years than in all of human history,” he said. “Artificial intelligence (AI) is the new electricity. IoT [the Internet of Things] is the new nervous system and will change drastically in the new 30-36 months.”

Cruz says that these technologies will be increasingly important:

Digital twins, a dynamic software model of a physical thing or system. It allows you to take a model of a first product and test everything about it on a second model. The second model doesn’t have to a physical model; it can be modeled in a computer. This is important for, among, other things, health technology and autonomous automobiles.

iShoes, anyone? Apple did make a (one-off) pair of sneakers back in the ‘90s
