Apple doesn’t get the streaming rights to the Big Ten Conference

Apple hasn’t nabbed the rights to the Big Ten Conference. Sports streaming rights for the Big Ten conference will be shared between CBS, NBC, Fox, and Peacock through the 2030 season, according to a report from The New York Times.

Apple had purportedly wanted the rights to bolster Apple TV+ viewership. However, the conference has reached distribution agreements with CBS, Fox, NBC, and Peacock. This places conference football, women’s and men’s basketball, and Olympic sports across over-the-air linear television and streaming.

The Big Ten Conference is the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the U.S. The Big Ten Conference sponsors championship competition in 14 men’s and 14 women’s NCAA sanctioned sports.
