Development of at least one of Apple’s iPhone 14 models has fallen behind schedule due to disruptions from the monthlong COVID lockdowns in China, according to Nikkei Asia.
The article says the tech giant has told suppliers to speed up product development efforts to make up for the lost time, “which in the worst-case scenario could impact the manufacturing schedule and initial production volumes of the new phones.”
The iPhone 14 line-up is expected to be revealed in September or October and, under ideal conditions, ship shortly after Apple’s announcement. Supposedly, the models will include an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but no iPhone 14 mini.
