How to prepare you iPad for resell, trade in, or giving away

Getting ready to trade in, sell, or give away your older tablet and get one of the new iPad Pros? After you’ve moved all your info to your new device and make sure it’s running okay, remove your personal data from your old device. Here’s how:

° Sign out of iCloud and the iTunes & App Store. Tap Settings > [your name]. Scroll down and tap Sign Out. Enter your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off.

° Go back to Settings and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. If you turned on Find My [device], you may need to enter your Apple ID and password. If asked for your device passcode or Restrictions passcode, enter it. Then tap Erase [device].

° Remove your old device from your list of trusted devices. You can manage your trusted phone numbers, trusted devices, and other account information from your Apple ID account page.
