Apple has agreed to provide its chief compliance officer, Kyle Andeer, to the Senate Judiciary Committee’s antitrust panel for a hearing on anti-competitive practices for mobile app stores on April 21 after lawmakers publicly criticized the company for saying it wouldn’t, according to Bloomberg.
In a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook on Friday, the senators said that Apple had declined to participate. In its response Sunday, the tech giant said that it was “surprised” to received the letter to Cook and that it was simply seeking alternative dates.
