Apple ranks 31st on Glassdoor’s ‘Best Places to Work in 2021’ list

Apple ranks 31st on Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work in 2021” list. That may not sound too great, but the tech giant is only one of three companies (the other two being Google and Bain & Company) to make the list for the past 13 years.

Glassdoor specializes in insights about jobs and companies. The 13th annual Employees’ Choice Awards honosthe Best Places to Work in 2021 across the U.S. and four other countries. The awards are based on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer over the past year.

The Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards feature six distinct categories, including honors for the Best Places to Work across the U.S., Canada, UK, France, and Germany. In the U.S., Glassdoor has revealed the 100 Best Places to Work (honoring employers with 1,000 or more employees) and 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For (honoring employers with fewer than 1,000 employees). 

Winners are ranked based on their overall rating achieved during the past year. (Ratings based on a 5-point scale: 1.0=very dissatisfied, 3.0=OK, 5.0=very satisfied; Actual calculations extend beyond the thousandth decimal place). Apple has a 4.4 rating out of 5 (there are a LOT of companies with 4.4 ratings). The top 10 Best Places to Work list that includes: Bain & Company (4.6 rating); NVIDIA (4.5); In-N-Out Burger (4.5), HubSpot (4.5), McKinsey & Company (4.5), Google (4.5), Delta Airlines (4.5), Lululemon (4.5), Microsoft (4.5), and HEB (4.4).
