Apple CEO Tim Cook says this is a ‘moment of historic urgency’ regarding climate change

Apple CEO Tim Cook delivered a “quick speech” in the course of the 2020 Climate Ambition Summit, stressing that leaders of countries and firms world wide have a “burden to act” to deal with local weather change throughout this “moment of historic urgency,” reports NewsLiveNation. The summit is co-hosted by the United Nations, United Kingdom, and France.

Here’s the text of Cook’s speech: Thank you to all the advocates and leaders becoming a member of us at present. This is a vital gathering, and we at Apple do not take our presence on this group frivolously. We put on it as a badge of responsibility. 

At this second of historic urgency, each chief of countries, of corporations, and of communities has a selected burden to behave. This 12 months, Apple has accelerated our progress. We turned carbon impartial for our worldwide company emissions. Already, we’re serving to 95 of our suppliers transition to 100% renewable power, a quantity we proceed to develop.
