Could an Apple Watch help detect if its wearer has COVID-19? As noted by Gizmodo, Stanford’s Wearables Data Study is trying to determine if the smartwatch and devices such as Fitbits and Oura Rings can do just that.
Stanford needs participants and is looking for people who own a wearable device and:
° Have had a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, or
° Have been exposed to somebody who has known or suspected COVID-19, or
° Are at higher risk of exposure (like healthcare workers or grocery store workers).
