Apple has accidentally leaked some info on two unreleased Apple products: the follow-up to the iPhone SE and the “AirTags.”
As noted by AppleInsider, Apple’s online Store appears to have leaked the official name of Apple’s next iPhone, as a listing for an iPhone 8 screen protector was updated on Thursday to reflect compatibility with “iPhone SE.” The Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra screen protector now shows support for the iPhone SE. Previously, the accessory noted compatibility with iPhone 8 and iPhone 7, according to a cached version of the webpage, notes AppleInsider.
Previous rumors have suggested that the follow-up to the iPhone SE would be dubbed the “iPhone 9.” That may not be the case
Whatever the name, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo thinks the smartphone will cost around $399. He predicts its specs will include: an A13 CPU; 3GB of RAM; 64GB and 128GB options; and no 3D Touch feature. Kuo prognostics that the phone will come in silver space grey, and red options.
AppleInsider also noted that the name “AirTags” appeared in a brand new Apple support video. The video was briefly published on Thursday.
AirTags will be a competitor to Tile Inc’s tracking products. The Tile device is a tiny Bluetooth tracker and app combo. After you have purchased the hardware, download the app to iOS device, and pair your Tile to your device. Once your device is paired use your app to find your item; just listen for the ring.
