macOS
St. Clair Software has released Default Folder X 5.4.3 today, an update to the utility for macOS.
It enhances the file dialogs in all macOS applications. Default Folder provides fast navigation to your files, t previews, integrated Spotlight tagging, and more. Its custom keyboard shortcuts put favorite and recent folders at your fingertips. Version 5.4.3 improves performance with the Finder and on slow networks, adds convenience features and fixes bugs.
Default Folder X 5.4.3 requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It’s a free update for existing version 5 users. New licenses are US$34.95; upgrades from version 4 and prior are $14.95.
Cisdem has updated AppCrypt for Mac, an app that gives users the ability to password protect their apps, to version 4.6.1.
It can password protect iPhoto, iTunes, Contacts, Facebook or any other applications on your Mac. To use it, you set a password and add the apps to the lock list. No one can access the protected apps unless they have the correct password. Version 4.6.1 refines the “reminders on camera” authorization.
AppCrypt is available now at the Cisdem website. It works with macOS 10.10 or higher. A single license of AppCrypt costs $29.99. A license for two Macs costs $44.99 and one for five is $39.99. A demo is available for download.
DigiDNA has announced iMazing 2.11 for macOS, an update for the iOS device management app.
The upgrade adds a new way to manage and transfer iPhone and iPad photos, giving users the ability to browse their entire mobile photo library in high resolution from their Mac with minimal loading times. Photographers can access detailed metadata and a variety of export options.
iMazing 2.11 works with macOS 10.9 or higher. It’s free to download. Browsing photos and data is entirely free. Premium features require the purchase of a license. A single license (one computer) is US$44.9; a universal license (two computers) is $49.99; and a family license (five computers) is $69.99. The 2.11 update is free for all iMazing 2 license owners.
Lemke Software has announced GraphicConverter 11.1.3, an update to the image editing utility for macOS.
GraphicConverter can convert most any format graphic file to one of over 90 other graphic formats. Version 11.1.3 brings new and updated features, native 64-bit pcd import, plus code support, menu item for showing embedded sub images and much more.
GraphicConverter requires macOS 10.15 or higher. It costs US$39.95 and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Photography category. It can also be directly purchased online from the Lemkesoft website. Upgrades from older versions of GraphicConverter are available for $25.95. The 11.1.3 upgrade is free for all customers of version 11.x.

Cloudbreak Health — a unified telemedicine and video medical interpretation solutions provider — has launched Cloudbreak Consult for clinics, hospitals, and healthcare systems. The free app will work with Cloudbreak’s platform on the 10,000+ hospital and clinic-based Martti devices nationwide.
Pixite has launched Zinnia Journal 1.0 for the iPad. It’s a journaling app “that incorporates the creativity of a sketch pad with the practical features of traditional journaling.” Zinnia encourages mindful activities such as sketching, planning, collaging, and tracking the things you want to do today and in the future. It’s free, but does tout in-app purchases.
