On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are this week’s picks.
macOS
Ergonis Software has rolled out Typinator 8.3, an update of the text expander for macOS.
The app automates the process of inserting frequently used text and auto-correcting typing errors. Version 8.3 complies with Apple’s new security requirements for notarization and delivers additional improvements and enhancements. Notarized apps are scanned automatically by Apple for security issues and malicious code.
Typinator 8.3 requires macOS 10.8 or higher. FOr new users teh cost is $24.99 for a single user license. The upgrade to Typinator 8.3 is free for anyone who purchased a license for Typinator on or after Jan. 1, 2019. Upgrade paths are available for owners of older licenses.
Cisdem has upgraded Cisdem Video Converter, a video conversion tool for macOS, to version 5.0. The upgrade fixes issues, optimize memory usage and add support for iPhone 11.
Cisdem Video Converter is compatible with macOS 10.10 and higher. It costs $39.99 for a single user lifetime license; a demo is available for download.
Total War: WARHAMMER II — The Shadow & Blade is now available for macOS. It brings new abilities, mechanics, and military advantages to Total War: WARHAMMER II.
The Shadow & The Blade DLC is available now from the Feral Store for US$8.99. It’s a 60GB download.
iOS
Jarig Duval has released Sleep Crusher for iOS 11.2 or later.
The app consolidates the best features of Duval’s previous alarm clock apps and adds multiple wake-up “missions.” It’s a free download; an in-app purchase of $0.99 removes ads.
