News round-up: Straight Path tried to fend off a bid from attorney fees from Apple, Cisco (and more)

Straight Path IP Group, a “patent troll,” has urged a California federal judge not to exclude a retired judge’s testimony as it tries to fend off a bid by Apple and Cisco for nearly $10 million in attorney fees, reports Law360.

I’m dubious, but Disney CEO Bob Iger — who recently retired from Apple’s Board of Directors — says in an upcoming memoir that if Steve Jobs had remained alive, Apple and Disney would probably have merged.

As outlined by developer Steve Troughton-Smith on Twitter, Apple Watch Series 5 has the same generation processor and GPU as the Apple Watch Series 4. The information was found on the latest version of Xcode.
