Apple sued for alleged leg damage due to faulty MacBook and charger

Another day, another lawsuit. As noted by AppleInsider, Apple is being sued for allegedly selling a faulty MacBook and charger, one which allegedly overheated and caused permanent burn marks to the plaintiff’s leg in 2016.

Filed at the New York Supreme Court on May 31, Yoland Oyiya claims she was the victim of burn marks caused by her MacBook. She said she suffered “serious and permanent personal injuries, including but not limited to a skin burn on her left leg,” caused by the Mac laptop and its charger.

The lawsuit wants judgment against Apple for an unspecified amount, but one that “exceeds the monetary jurisdictional limits of all lower New York State Courts,” as well as demands for further relief “as the court may deem just and proper,” as well as costs and disbursements, notes AppleInsider.
