Ben Software has released SecuritySpy 5.0, an update to its multi-camera video surveillance software for the Mac.
With smart motion detection powered by AI, flexible recording features, remote monitoring and an intuitive user interface, SecuritySpy is suitable for all CCTV applications, from home to professional use. Version 5.0 has such improvements as AI-based object detection using deep neural networks, and support for the H.265 video format.
Pricing for SecuritySpy 5.0 depends on the number of cameras used, ranging from $40 for the single-camera version to $890) for the unlimited-camera version. SecuritySpy 5.0 requires macOS 10.13 or later. A demo is available for download.
Houdah Software has announced HoudahGeo 5.3, an update to the photo geotagging tool for the Mac.
The tool tags photos with location coordinates and names. Standard EXIF, XMP, and IPTC geotags allow photo cataloging tools to organize and find photos by location. HoudahGeo works with Apple Photos, iPhoto, Aperture, and Adobe Lightroom Classic. Version 5.3 adds support for Apple HEIC and Canon CR3 files.
HoudahGeo 5.3 requires macOS 10.10 or later and costs $39 for a single-user license. A demo is available at the Houdah Software website.
iFunia has upgraded YouTube Downloader for Mac to version 6.3. The app allows users to download and save YouTube videos right into their Mac. The new version adds full support for downloading 4K and 8K content.
