News nuggets regarding the 2019 Apple WWDC (updated)

Apple’s well-received (to say the least) Worldwide Developer Conference keynote from Monday is now available for watching on Apple’s Events website and on the Events app on the Apple TV.

Apple has announced its annual Design Award winners. The winners are based on visual design, technology, and innovation.

Apple has posted its “Platforms State of the Union” address for developers.

As noted by MacRumors, Dashboard has been eliminated in macOS Catalina and it is no longer available for use. It’s an app used as a secondary desktop for hosting mini-applications known as widgets.

Sign In with Apple, which will be available on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and the web, was announced yesterday. According to updated App Store guidelines for developers it’s going to be mandatory or all apps that offer up third-party sign-in options such as “Sign in with Facebook” and “Sign in with Google.”

WaterField Designs has introduced the Developer’s Gear Case, a semi-rigid, fully-padded organizational case to protect tech accessories of all shapes and sizes in transit. You can pre-order now for $129. Shipping begins June 11.
