Apple is expected to announce both a video streaming service and a news subscription serve at the upcoming “It’s show time” event. Vox — an American news and opinion website owned by Vox Media — has agreed to participate in the latter, reports Bloomberg.
The article adds that none other of the Vox Media properties will be joining, for now, at least. The Vox website was founded in April 2014 by Ezra Klein, Matt Yglesias and Melissa Bell, and is noted for its concept of explanatory journalism.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Reuters, New York Times CEO said his publication wouldn’t be involved in Apple’s news subscription service because publishers shouldn’t rely too heavily on third-party services for digital distribution.
The The “It’s Show Time” will be held on Monday, March 25, at 10 a.m.
