Apple has asked a Utah federal court for a quick win to end an antenna maker’s lawsuit accusing it of copying the company’s products that are licensed to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the U.S. Department of Defense, saying the patent is too vague, reports Law360.
The tech giant says nCap Licensing and its affiliates have failed to specify how their antenna technology is made in a way that someone familiar with the industry could tell what materials fall within their patent’s claims. The Utah-based antenna maker who’s licensed products to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the U.S. Department of Defense sued Apple in federal court in August 2017, claiming the tech giant copied its patented antenna technology and uses it in its iPhone and other products.
