Apple will soon release three 2018 iPhones, all of which will keep the edge-to-edge screen design of the iPhone X, but none will sport entirely new designs, according to a Bloomberg report that quotes unnamed “people familiar with the matter.” What’s interesting about the report is that the tech giant has at least considered branding the new premium phones the “iPhone Xs,” indicating that they’re an upgrade to last year’s iPhone X, the article adds.
Apple has also weighed eschewing the “Plus” label for the larger model, which it has used since the iPhone 6 Plus launched with a larger screen in 2014. The final names could be different, notes Bloomberg.
It’s expected that 2018 iPhones will ship in 5.8- and 6.5-inch sizes in OLED, with a lower-priced ($700-$800) 6.1-inch device coming, as well.
