On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

With ActiveDock, you can change theme, grouping application icons into folders, windows management and more. Version 1.1.1 offers a redesigned Window Preview Panel for more comfortable work with windows. Also new is the ability to create folders and group apps into them. For each folder you can add your own icon for better visualization.

ActiveDock 1.1.1 requires macOS 10.12 or higher. You can try the utility for free for 14 days with all the features available to you during that period. Registration is $19.99) for a standard (one-year) user license applicable for up to two user-owned Macs, and $49.99 for a lifetime license for up to five user-owned Macs.

Tension Software has updated Data Creator for the Mac to version 1.6.1. The app can create custom tables (rows and columns) and fill them with pseudo-random proper content with a single click.

The user can select which kind of fields (columns) he likes (name of animals, colors, fruits, emails, addresses, english surname, german names and so on with over 50 different kind of data) and have all the contents filled for an unlimited number of rows. Version 1.6.1 offers various optimizations and bug fixes.

Data Creator requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It costs $9.99 and is available at the Tension Software website and the Mac App Store.
