TD Ameritrade is launching Apple Business Chat support to deliver financial market updates, investor education, research and trading information to customers using the Messages app on iPhones and iPads.
Business Chat is a new way for users to communicate directly with businesses right within Messages. According to Apple, with Business Chat, it’s easy to have a conversation with a service representative, schedule an appointment or make purchases using Apple Pay in the Messages app. Business Chat doesn’t share the user’s contact information with businesses and gives users the ability to stop chatting at any time.
With the feature, investors have a new way to connect with TD Ameritrade where and when they want to, according to Sunayna Tuteja, head of partnerships and emerging tech. He says that nearly 75% of TD Ameritrade clients use an iPhone or iPad.
Anyone can converse with TD Ameritrade using the Messages app on an iPhone or iPad and get help with things like:
- Getting a quote, track company events and add them to your calendar;
- Get updates on markets, indices and sectors;
- Learn about investing with more than 200 educational videos and test your knowledge with lessons and quizzes;
- Find the closest branch;
- Chat with an automated agent or a live agent any time.
Once authenticated, existing clients can also:
- Check account balances, positions, order status and place trades;
- Access tax documents for the last seven years.
By searching for TD Ameritrade in Maps, Safari, Search or with Siri, on an iPhone or iPad with iOS 11.3, users can tap the Messages icon that appears next to the search result to get started. The conversations can be continued on Apple Watch or Mac. Users can chat with an automated agent or choose a live agent at any time by typing “agent.”
