The $39 Mini Xboy is one of Xoopar’s Xboy line of Bluetooth speakers. Kids will find it entertaining; adults not so much.
The Mini Xboy — available in a variety of colors — has a glowing face and a built-in selfie remote. After successful pairing, it can work as a wireless remote shutter when using together with your iPhone’s camera.
You can pair and play the Mini Xboy with any Bluetooth device. The three-watt speaker’s built-in rechargeable battery provides up to five hours of music playback after a one-hour charge.
As a toy and/or a novelty speaker, the MiniXboy is fine. And, at three inches tall, its small enough to slip into a jacket pocket. As a speaker, its audio is adequate for such a small device, and nothing more. Of course, it’s not meant for audiophiles.
