The Apple Pencil may “roll to a stop” when it’s nudged on a desk, but in my house it’s a popular cat toy. That’s one reason I was happy to see DODOcase has developed a Leather Apple Pencil Sleeve ($24.95) that can also serve double-duty as a beautiful leather bookmark.
The Apple Pencil Sleeve is crafted of leather and is a rather nice-looking little piece of handiwork. At this time, you can get a free gold foil monogram as well, although I think it looks just fine without the monogram.
The Pencil slides into the Sleeve easily and is held in place by friction alone… and that’s good enough. The good thing for me and others owned by cats around the world? Once it’s in the Sleeve, the Pencil won’t roll and will not end up going under doors, desks or down stairs as a fun and expensive cat toy… unless you have a really smart cat that picks it up and walks away with the entire kit and caboodle.
It’s a bit pricy at $24.95, but like everything made by DODOcase, it’s going to last and it looks great. It’s a rather simple accessory, but it’s one that you’ll love to own for years.
