Well, that was interesting. This morning a placeholder for an Apple app named “Files” appeared on the App Store before being quickly removed. Developer Steven Troughton Smith saw the listing long enough to take a screenshot and then post it on Twitter.

What would a “Files” app be good for? Perhaps it’s a replacement for the iCloud Drive app, providing a better way of organizing files in iOS 11. Many iOS users — especially those who use the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement — have been asking for a more powerful way to keep files and folders organized.
We’ll see what happens during the WWDC keynote in a few hours…
