Notable apps and app updates for Sept. 30, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

RRdaS Game Factory has debuted Dig This 1.0, a physics-based adventure game that requires players to dig a path for their ball, using their creativity and knowledge of physics to roll it to the goal. Each level offers a slightly different underground layout, forcing players to strategize before they dig. Dig This is free, but does tout in-app purchases.

SchwanSongs has introduced Ask Fortuna 1.0, a $2.99 new fortune-generator that creates almost-random sayings and prescient prognostications. According to the folks at SchwanSongs, Ask Fortuna makes millions of unique sayings, “guided by artificial intelligence that imbues its prose with poetic and thought-provoking wit.”

macOS Apps/Updates

Microspot has announced MacDraft Professional and MacDraft Personal Edition, the latest version of their 2D drafting, design and illustration software for the Mac. Now macOS Sierra compatible, version 6.2 introduces new features including Smart Snapping, Guides, Centred Document, Document Dead Zone, and more.

MacDraft Pro costs approximately $241 for new users, and MacDraft Personal Edition is $62. Demos are available for download.
