Just before the expected release of macOS Sierra, Apple has updated Safari to version 10.0. According to the release notes:
A restart of your Mac is required, so if you’re updating to macOS Sierra anyway you might just want to wait. Security content information is available at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222.
