On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.
Mac OS X Apps/Updates
MailButler, the Apple Mail assistant by Feingeist Software GmbH, has added a new feature: ”Snooze,” which allows users to better control their inbox by temporarily making selected emails disappear for a scheduled amount of time.
MailButler allows you to schedule an email to be sent at a specific date and time. For example, you can compose birthday emails ahead of the actual date. You just define the exact date when you want to send the email, and MailButler takes care of the rest.
MailButler also allows you to convert your emails into notes. This includes formatting, file attachments, tags, reminder date and other meta information. Notes contain a direct reference to the source email from which it was created.
MailButler requires Mac OS X Yosemite or El Capitan. A demo is available for download; registration is $8.95
iOS Apps/Updates
Literature & Latte, creators of Scrivener for Mac and Windows, have given us a $19.99, iOS version of the writing app for Mac OS X and Windows. Designed for novelists, screenwriters, journalists, academics, lawyers, and others, it allows you to, among other, things, outline every last detail first, hammer out a complete draft and restructure later, or do a bit of both.
