Notable apps and app updates for July 18, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

Mac OS X Apps/Updates

Insider Software has announced FontAgent 7, an upgrade to its professional font manager for Mac OS X. The update sports a modern user interface with new and updated versions of its popular slide show, compare, glyph, waterfall, character set, paragraph, metadata and custom text viewers.

FontAgent 7 is available in a standalone edition and in a cloud-based sync subscription that shares fonts across users, machines and projects. Perpetual licenses for FontAgent 7 are also available for $99 per user.

FontAgent 6 users can purchase version 7 upgrades or opt for a FontAgent Sync subscription for $59. For more information about FontAgent 7 and Sync, visit Insider Software online. Free 30-day trials are available for download.

Ohanaware has released App Wrapper 3.6, an update to their App Store preparation tool. It was designed to simplify the process of preparing applications for submission to the Mac App Store and deploying on web sites.

Once configured App Wrapper can perform the following actions either at the click of a button or when an application is built within the Xojo development environment. Version 3.6 updates many legacy frameworks within the app.

App Wrapper requires OS X 10.9 or later and Xcode 6 or higher. Version 3.6 is macOS Sierra compatible. DMG code signing requires Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 or newer. App Wrapper is available from the Ohanaware website. There are three pricing options starting at $49.99.
