One market that seems to be quite saturated with different devices is that of chargers and battery packs for smartphones and tablets. Fortunately, there are still companies that take on the challenge of creating better products and one of them — designed by many — is seeking funding on Indiegogo for a new device it refers to as the NFTY PL+S that wants to be “the last charging solution and battery bank you will ever need.”
The Miami-based design firm certainly packed a lot of technology into a small (2.25 x 2.25 x 1.15 inch) container. The NFTY PL+S features a 4000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery pack, comes with a car charger, fold-out car charger, USB charger, 4 female USB ports (for charging up to four devices simultaneously), and can be used to add power to your Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad simultaneously.
There’s a $55 early-bird level pledge still available, and the campaign has raised about 6 percent of its $50,000 goal in just three days. With 29 days left, the NFTY is probably assured a place in the “fully funded” column, but the project will receive funding even if it doesn’t reach the goal. This team from designed by many has had other successful crowdfunded projects, which raises my level of confidence with the NFTY PL+S. I’m hoping I can review this device soon for Apple World Today.
