There are now a total of 61 retail and restaurant chains accepting Apple Pay in the US after Apple added a baker’s dozen of new merchants to their ever-growing list.
The new places to spend your money with a tap and a thumbprint include grocery chains Bashas’, Dan’s Fresh Market, Dick’s Fresh Market, Lin’s Fresh Market (are those folks related?) and Maceys, and food and beverage vendors Fuddruckers, Jamba Juice and Jersey Mike’s.
Flying on JetBlue? They’re now on the list. You can pick up office supplies at Office Max, auto parts at Pep Boys, and catch a movie at Regal Cinemas, all without reaching for your wallet.
Of course, Apple CEO Tim Cook brought up one other major vendor during Monday’s event — Coca-Cola vending machines. The company currently has 40,000 machines that accept Apple Pay and plans to upgrade 60,000 more by the end of 2015.
Finally, Kickstarter’s app joined the fray yesterday, so if you need to put in a pledge for a Pebble Time Steel watch, it’s easy to pay with Apple Pay.
