The iPhone Duo will gain Apple Pencil support with iOS 27.2, reports Creative Strategies analyst Max Weinbach, the iPhone Duo is gaining Apple Pencil support with iOS 27.2, which is expected arrive next week.
The foldable smartphone is compatible exclusively with the US$79 Apple Pencil with USB-C. It doesn’t support the Apple Pencil Pro.
Pencil support is supposed to arrive via a software update later this year. When it does, the Apple Pencil should work on both on both the inner and outer displays of the iPhone Duo.
The USB-C Pencil supports tilt sensitivity and hover, but lacks pressure sensitivity, double-tap, haptics, squeeze, barrel roll, and Find My support. It charges via a USB-C cable rather than magnetic snap-charging.
