Omdia: OLED monitor display shipments set for 79% full-year growth

Global OLED monitor panel shipments are forecast to reach 6.1 million units for full-year 2026, up 79% from 2025, according to Omdia’s latest research.

ASUS is expected to remain the largest purchaser, accounting for 23 % of global shipments for the year, followed by MSI, Samsung and TPV. LG Electronics, Dell, Acer and Lenovo complete the top eight. Intensifying competition among monitor brands and expanding OLED production capacity are driving market growth. shipments are forecast to reach 7.5 million units in 2027 as additional capacity comes online and more monitor brands adopt OLED technology.

Competition among monitor brands and the supply availability of OLED panels are reshaping the global market landscape, according to Omdia. Securing competitive OLED panel supply is becoming increasingly important for monitor brands and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), while panel makers are seeking a broader customer base to strengthen their market positions and profitability.

MSI and TPV are expected to increase their OLED monitor panel purchases significantly in 2026, accounting for 14% and 12% of global shipments, respectively. LG Electronics, Dell, Acer and Lenovo are also among the leading purchasers.

Asus, Samsung, LG Electronics and Dell were early adopters of OLED monitors and major panel purchases during 2023-25.

As more brands and manufacturers expand their OLED monitor portfolios, these early adopters are expected to account for a smaller share of panel purchases in 2026. What’s more, falling OLED monitor prices are supporting wider adoption. Mainstream 27 inch 240Hz OLED gaming models have seen price cuts of more than 40 % in 2026. Prices for premium OLED monitors reached the $350 range in the first half of 2026 and are expected to approach $300 by 2027.

While gaming remains the core growth driver, professional content creation and commercial applications offer further opportunities for OLED monitor adoption.

“Expanding capacity, falling prices and broader adoption of brands & OEMs are helping OLED monitors reach a wider market,” said Nick Jiang, Principal Analyst, Display and OEM Research at Omdia. “TCL China Star’s Gen 8.6 IJP OLED capacity is projected to reshape OLED monitor supply chain dynamics and the competitive landscape.”
