Apple says Apple TV recently had its largest weekly viewership ever thanks to “Mayday,” “Ted Lasso,” and post-Emmys bumps for “Widows Bay” and “Pluribus,” reports Deadline.
Apple TV had a record-breaking 2026 Emmys with 28 wins (29 if you include the commercials category), the most for the streamer ever and the most for any platform this year. Apple TV’s big night at the Emmys, held on September 14, was followed by the record-breaking week.
Deadline notes that Apple didn’t release hard viewership numbers, just qualitative data and year-to-year and week-to-week increases. Per Apple, the aforementioned shows resulted in Apple TV’s largest weekly viewership ever for the week of September 14, rising by 67% year-over-year.
