After upgrading to macOS 27 Golden Gate, I ran across an interesting problem: I couldn’t move items to the trash either by a keyboard command or drag and drop.
If you experience the same problem, you’ll have to relaunch the Finder:
Click the Apple menu icon.
Choose Force Quit.
Select the Finder.
Click Relaunch.
Now you should also be able to select a file and press Command + Option + Delete to delete the item immediately without using the trash.
However, you may have to continually relaunch the Finder as the problem seems to keep popping up. I think this is a glitch that Apple needs to fix.
