Control Center on iPhone gives you instant access to useful controls—including Airplane Mode, Do Not Disturb, flashlight, volume, screen brightness, and more. Let’s look at how to use it.
Accessing the Control Center
- To open: Swipe down from the top-right corner on Face ID iPhones, or swipe up from the bottom on devices with a Home button.
- To close: Swipe up from the bottom-center of your screen or tap outside the Control Center area.
- Quick access: Long-press (touch and hold) any control to open expanded menus, such as adjusting AirDrop visibility or taking a specific camera shot.
Customizing Your Layout
With Control Center pages, you can group controls exactly how you want them:
- Enter Edit Mode: Swipe open your Control Center and tap the + (plus) button in the top-left corner, or long-press on an empty background space.
- Add a Control: Tap “Add a control” at the bottom of the screen, scroll through the gallery to find your desired shortcut (e.g., Low Power Mode, Screen Recording), and select it.
- Resize: Drag the small arc handle in the bottom-right corner of a widget to make it larger or smaller.
- Rearrange & Group: Drag icons to move them. You can organize toggles into specific pages by dragging controls off the bottom of the page to create a new section, or by tapping the right-edge icons to customize separate pages.
- Remove: Tap the – (minus) icon on any control you want to delete.
