With iOS and iPadOS, you can get recommendations for the best places to visit in a city with Guides created by what Apple describes as a selection of trusted brands that include AllTrails, Complex, The Infatuation, Time Out Group and The Washington Post.
Guides help you discover places to eat, shop, meet friends, or explore in cities around the world. You can save Guides so you can easily get back to them later, and they automatically update when new places are added so you always have the latest recommendations.
To use City Guides in Apple Maps on iOS 26 and iPadOS 26:
° Open Maps, scroll down to find Guides We Love.
° Filter by Preference: Tap near the top of the screen to choose a specific city, swipe to browse different interests (e.g., dining, shopping), or scroll to the Browse by Publisher section to use trusted sources like Yelp, Michelin, or The Infatuation.
° Save and Share: Tap a guide’s cover to view its contents, and save it to your library by tapping Add to Guides. Share a guide with friends by tapping Share.
