Ted Danson (“Cheers,” “A Man on the Inside,” “The Good Place”) is joining Elizabeth Banks in the upcoming Apple TV comedy series from creators Liz Heldens and Matt Ward, reports Deadline. The yet-to-be-titled series is set to begin production in Los Angeles this year.
Here’s how it’s described: Fresh off a messy divorce, Heidi (Banks) sets out to secure a lively second act for herself and her kids. But when she stumbles into coordinating her father’s (Danson) retirement community sexcapades, Heidi is forced into an unlikely alliance with his girlfriend’s perpetually single son.
In addition to Banks and Danson, the series regular cast also includes Rob Delaney. Produced for Apple TV by 20th Television, the new series will be showrun and executive produced by Heldens and Ward.
