The upcoming iOS 27 will reportedly focus on stability and optimization for AI.

The upcoming iOS 27 will focus on stability and optimization for AI, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter.

He says the update, code-named “Rave,” will focus on “boosting performance and adding artificial intelligence.” Gurman says Apple is working on a standalone Siri app with a chatbot-style interface, support for third-party agents via the App Store, and the ability to handle multiple commands in a single request.

iOS 27 will be unveiled at next month’s Worldwide Developer Conference. It, and updates to Apple’s other operating systems, will arrive to end users in September or October.

Power On is exclusively for Bloomberg.com subscribers. Get the full Power On newsletter every week — plus unlimited access to every featured article and a Q&A with Gurman— when you subscribe to the Tech Newsletter Bundle.
