How to add new wallpaper images in macOS Tahoe

To add new wallpaper images in macOS Tahoe, open System Settings > Wallpaper, scroll to “Your Photos,” and click Add Photo, Add Folder, or Choose from Photos.

You can also drag an image directly from the Finder onto the current wallpaper preview thumbnail to change it immediately.

Key Methods to Add Custom Wallpaper:

° Drag-and-Drop: Drag any image file from your Desktop or Finder into the top area of the Wallpaper settings menu.

° Using Your Photos: Click “Add Photo” in the “Your Photos” section, which allows you to select images from your Photos Library, folders, or specific files.

° Adding Folders: Use the “Add Folder” option to add a folder of images to the available wallpaper choices.

° Via Context Menu: Right-click on the desktop, select “Change Wallpaper,” then use the “Your Photos” section to select an image.

Important Notes for macOS Tahoe:

Animated Aerials: New animated aerial wallpapers are available in Landscape, Cityscape, Underwater, and Earth categories, which animate as you lock/unlock the Mac.

Wallpaper/Screensaver Synergy: Selected aerial wallpapers are also used as your screen saver by default.
