Apple will purportedly rely on Visual Intelligence in its planned line of new wearable devices

Apple will purportedly rely on Visual Intelligence in its planned line of new wearable devices.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple will heavily feature Visual Intelligence in its upcoming line of wearable devices.

Apple Visual Intelligence is a feature on newer iPhones, iPads, and Macs that uses the camera to identify and provide information about objects, text, and places around you.

It allows you to quickly access details like translations, summaries, or even contact information simply by pointing your phone at something; essentially acting as a real-time visual search tool powered by AI.

Gurman says Apple fast-tracking work on several wearable products. He thinks the tech giant is also working on new Home products.

“Beyond wearables, Apple is developing a range of AI devices for the home,” Gurman said. “That lineup includes a smart display built around the company’s upcoming Siri revamp and a later version with a larger screen and robotic arm. The company is also working on an updated HomePod speaker and a compact indoor sensor for home security and automation.”
