No, the iPad Pro won’t go for years without an update

The iPad Pro may go for years without a substantial update, according to the Weibo-based leaker known as “Instant Digital” — as noted by MacRumors. However, I highly doubt that.

He/she says the high-end tablet will go for a long stretch without a major upgrade because the price of the OLED panel looks to remain high and didn’t spur a major spike in sales. Instant Digital says that Apple has no plan for changes such as ultra-slim borders around the screen.

Of course, what is considered a major upgrade is debate. The Sellers Research Group predicts that we’ll see an iPad Pro with a M6 processor either late this year or in early 2027. Beyond that, Instant Digital is probably right in that there’ll be no eye-popping design changes.
