Apple releases iOS 26.2.1,  iPadOS 26.2.1, and watchOS 26.1 with support for new AirTags

Apple has released iOS 26.2.1, iPadOS 26.2.1, and watchOS 26.1 with support for new AirTags.

Apple has released iOS 26.2.1,  iPadOS 26.2.1, and watchOS 26.1. All offer support for Apple’s updated AirTags.

The first two can be downloaded on eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

watchOS 26.2.1 can be downloaded for free on an iPhone running iOS 26.2.1 by opening up the Apple Watch app and going to General > Software Update, or initiating an update in the Settings app on the watch.

To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery charge and it must be placed on a charger.
