Last December the Korean language DealSite said Apple plans to release a 20th anniversary iPhone with a bezel-less, all-in-one, full-screen design, claims. However, a new rumor says this isn’t like to happen.
To accomplish a full-screen design, DealSite said Apple is likely to adopt a four-sided bending technology that covers not only the front but also the four sides of the border with a display, the article adds. The 20th anniversary iPhone is almost certain to arrive in 2027.
However, in a post on X (Twitter) — as noted by MacRumors — analyst Ross Young says he dons’t think a notch-free, full-screen iPhone will arrive before 2030. This, of course, would rule out the 20th anniversary iPhone being such a device.
In other rumors about the upcoming smartphone, a Weibo post by the leaker known as “Instant Digital” claims it will have an all-glass display and no physical buttons, just haptic ones.
In other speculation, the 20th anniversary iPhone it will adopt a Samsung-made OLED technology called COE (Color Filter on Encapsulation) to make the display brighter and thinner than previous panels, according to ETNews.
Also, according to ETNews, the 2027 iPhone will likely have “Mobile High-Reverse Memory (HBM),” a memory that significantly increases the signal.
