Apple is working on a 24-inch iMac featuring an OLED display that may arrive in 2027, according to the Korean language site The Elec.
The LED specifications requested by the tech giant are 24 inches, 600 nits of brightness, and 218PPI (Pixels Per Inch, the article adds. The main specifications of the 24-inch LCD iMac that are already on sale are 500 nits and 218PPI. The Elec says Apple is talking with Samsung Display and LG Display about manufacturing the displays for the all-in-one. The 24-inch iMac was last updated October 2024, when Apple introduced the M4 chip, new colors, and a nano-texture display option, following the M3 update in late 2023 and skipping the M2 generation.
Apple is also rumored to be working on an “iMac Pro” with an M5 Pro processor.
