How to sign documents in iPadOS

When someone emails documents to you, you can sign them on your iPad via the Markup preview in the built-in Mail app.

When someone emails documents to you, you can sign them on your iPad via the Markup preview in the built-in Mail app. Here’s how:

  1. Open the document: Open the document you want to sign in an app like Mail, Notes, or Photos. 
  2. Access Markup: Tap the Markup icon (it looks like a pen tip). 
  3. Add Signature: Tap the Add button (plus sign) and select Signature. 
  4. Create or Select Signature: If you don’t have a saved signature, create one using your finger or Apple Pencil. If you have a saved signature, select it. 
  5. Place Signature: Tap and drag the signature to the desired location on the document. 
  6. Resize and Adjust: You can resize and adjust the signature by dragging the handles. 
  7. Save/Send: Save or send the signed document.
