Women We Admire is a membership organization comprised of some of the most accomplished women executives and leaders across the U.S. and Canada. The “Top 50 Women Chief Compliance Officers” names “distinguished leaders who serve at the intersection of business strategy, legal oversight, and corporate ethics.”
Here’s what Women We Admire has to say about Heba Hamouda: Heba Hamouda is the Chief Compliance Officer at Apple. Hamouda has experience drafting, reviewing, and revising asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, as well as operating, employment, transition services, financing, and license agreements. Hamouda has also conducted and managed due diligence reviews and draft due diligence memos. In addition, she has experience in general corporate governance, including drafting of company board resolutions and certificates, board minutes, certificates of incorporation, bylaws, legal opinions, and client memoranda.
Before joining Apple, Hamouda was an attorney at Dentons from September 2004 to October 2008, where she was a member of the diversity committee and the recruiting committee. She also tutored at Sonnenschein Charter School as part of the After-School Tutor Program. She has experience drafting appellate briefs in front of the US Patent and Trademark Office and has prepared a variety of contracts, including a master service agreement, statement of work, and call center agreement. Hamouda’s pro bono representation included asylum cases and other immigration matters, where she drafted briefs and motions and appeared before the immigration court. She also served as counsel to the Chicago Loop Alliance, drafting a variety of agreements, including service agreements, employment agreements, joint venture agreements, partnership agreements, and providing general corporate counsel.
Hamouda studied accounting and finance at Indiana University Bloomington and the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, earning a Bachelor of Science in both fields. She later obtained a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
